Inspiration from Walt Whitman, Thomas Jefferson, Robert Frost and traditional Latin texts.

The concert included Howard Hanson’s Song of America, and Randall Thompson’s The Testament of Freedom and Frostiana, and Morton Lauridsen’s heartfelt Lux Aeterna.

And for the first time in Elmhurst Choral Union history, a concert number was conducted by a student conductor.
